In the feature race, a slightly disappointing run from Dick Turpin meant our each way bet failed to score. However, for the day and week we are +2 points.
York day two looks tricky. I can't get too excited about anything in the Gimcrack, so will stick to my fancy in the Ebor. I was mightily impressed with Martyr at Goodwood last time out and think the 6-1 available with Sportingbet is a solid bet with four places paid. I wouldn't put anyone off backing Elyaadi, Overturn or Dangerous Midge, but at 6-4 for the place I can't leave Martyr. Get on!
